Matt brings a huge wealth of experience to his coaching, from decades in both educational and corporate life.
He was a barrister for 13 years and at the time was named within the top 20 barristers in the UK, under the age of 35, within his speciality.
Having completed his MBA, he went on to lecture and coach at a business school, to senior executives, across a range of subjects including: Negotiation, strategy, communication, personal resilience, presentation, innovation, collaboration, leadership and change. During this time he also worked with a full range of psychometric testing instruments.
He then progressed to Senior Vice President & Global Head of Sales, of a global executive education provider (Ashridge/Hult/EF executive education) sitting on the Senior Leadership Team.
His coaching ethos is informed and framed by the experiences above, as well as his time in elite level sport and his volunteer work as a crisis councillor for Shout Crisis Text Line. Matt is a Company Director and Trustee of a multi-academy trust, as he believes that children deserve the best education and opportunity in life regardless of their background and personal circumstances.
Matt has completed an ICF Accredited Pathway program (ACSTH), leading to the qualification of Certified Professional Coach and is a Member of the ICF.
Matt's empathic, practical, collaborative, relational and straight forward approach, has the goal of making complex matters simple. He is passionate about both helping people and creating value for clients. He is a COMMUNICATOR and PROBLEM SOLVER, with an ability to see issues from a different perspective and to ask 'THE RIGHT QUESTIONS'.
